What does a Wattvision tenant bill show?

Start and end meter readings with timestamps, usage charted day by day, your rate, service charges, credits and adjustments as line items, solar or net metering, and the total. It is one page, as a PDF or a link.

Which meters can I bill from?

Any EKM Omnimeter on an EKM Push or Push3 gateway (all Omnimeter versions, up to 256 meters per Push), and the Rainforest Eagle. Each meter becomes its own site with its own bills.

Can I use time-of-use rates?

Yes. Enter your utility's exact rate, flat or time-of-use, and Wattvision prices each reading at the rate in effect when it was used.

What billing periods are supported?

Any: calendar months, move-in to move-out, or custom start and end dates.

How much does it cost to bill a 10-unit building?

About $520 a year: $79 for the first site and $49 for each of the other nine. Bills are included; there is no per-bill charge. Start with a 30-day free trial.

Is it legal to bill tenants for electricity?

In many places, yes, when the bill is based on a submeter reading, but the rules vary by state, province and city, and some require billing at cost. Check with your utility commission or a local attorney. Wattvision bills at the rate you set and prints the readings on every bill, which makes billing at cost easy to show.
